Akin Gump Dallas Office to Move to The Union Complex in Uptown Dallas

(Dallas) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that it has signed a lease for new office space in Dallas that will see the firm move its offices to The Union tower complex at the intersection of Field Street and Cedar Springs Road in Uptown Dallas. The firm expects its move to The Union, which is currently under construction, will take place within the next two years.
The 15-year lease is for the entire 17th and 18th floors of the office tower as well as part of the 16th, totaling 68,000 square feet. The complex, a RED Development, was designed by Dallas architect HKS, Inc. and, in addition to the 22-story office tower, will feature restaurants and retail, a 23-story residential high-rise, a fitness center, an outdoor central plaza, an amenity deck and a Tom Thumb supermarket.
Akin Gump chairperson Kim Koopersmith said, “Our firm was founded in Dallas over 70 years ago, and this move reflects our commitment to maintaining a strong and dynamic presence in this city for many years to come.”
