Akin Gump Named a Winner in Three Categories at Inaugural IFLR1000 United States Awards

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump has been named a winner in several categories of the inaugural IFLR1000 United States Awards. The awards celebrate the most innovative U.S. deals and the best-performing law firms and lawyers in the country in 2019.
The firm was honored in the category State Firm of the Year: District of Columbia. Akin Gump was also recognized in the following two categories:
- Deal of the Year: Projects, for its work on the Lāwa’i 28MW solar power plant/100MW energy storage facility, in which the firm advised the borrower, AES Corporation. (Click here to learn more.)

Criteria for determining the winners of the IFLR1000 awards were based on transactional evidence, client feedback and peer feedback.
