Akin Gump Ranked Among Best Law Firms for Women in Seramount Survey

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is proud to share that, in its annual survey, Seramount, which, since 1979, has worked to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, has ranked the firm among the Best Law Firms for Women.

Each year, Seramount surveys law firms to, in its words, assess how they utilize best practices to recruit, retain, promote and develop women lawyers. The annual list recognizes those firms that encourage women to rise to the top.

The Seramount survey was formerly conducted under the auspices of Working Mother magazine. In 2021, Akin Gump was named to that periodical’s annual list of the 50 best law firms for women (learn more here).

In December, Akin Gump was named by Diversity & Flexibility Alliance as a Tipping the Scales firm for having had 50 percent or more women in its 2021 U.S.-based new partner class (learn more here), while, last July, the firm was awarded 2021 Gold Standard Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum for number of women among equity partners (learn more here).
