Akin Gump Ranked Among Nation's Top 25 Corporate Law Firms

(New York) Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP was ranked among the nation’s top 25 corporate law firms in a recent study conducted by Corporate Board Member magazine and FTI Consulting, Inc.

The 11th annual America’s Best Corporate Law Firms study, which surveyed corporate directors of publicly traded companies across the country, ranked the firm 17th in its list of go-to law firms. A separate survey of general counsel also placed Akin Gump among the nation’s top 25 corporate law firms. The firm was ranked among the top three firms in the Dallas area.

According to the survey, firms selected for inclusion reflect those that “[maintain] a sharp focus on results with an impeccable reputation for integrity” and that possess “savvy intelligence for boards looking for legal firepower when the going gets rough.”

Corporate directors were asked questions related to board-level legal issues, while general counsel were asked to select the national firms they would choose to aid them should their company need a firm of national scope and reputation to represent it. Firms were ranked based upon the total number of votes received.
