Akin Gump Ranked Among Top 10 in Annual Summer Associates Survey

(Washington, D.C.) Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has been ranked eighth nationally in the 2011 American Lawyer Summer Associates Survey. The survey is based on responses provided by summer associates from more than 100 law firms across the country and comes on the heels of Akin Gump’s top 20 placement in American Lawyer’s 2011 midlevel associate satisfaction survey.
In addition to its top-10 national ranking, each of the firm’s surveyed offices ranked in the top 10 in their respective markets, including a first-place ranking in Houston and a second-place ranking in Dallas.

The Summer Associates Survey is based on responses received from over 3,600 summer associates from more than 100 firms across the country. Rankings are determined by responses to questions contained in the survey covering issues such as the interest level and “realness” of the work, training and guidance offered, the amount of access the summer associates had to firm partners and counsel, and firm’s overall rating as a place to work.
