(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump has been selected as one of the top 10 energy law firms in Latin America. The firm also has been selected as among the top 50 international law firms in Latin America. The rankings were released by Latinvex, a publisher of news and analysis on Latin American business.

Law firms were selected based on a combination of factors, including value, prominence and scope of work; references among clients and peers; and size of Latin America practice. Research for the survey was based on a Latinvex survey of firms active in the region.

This recognition follows the selection earlier this year of Akin Gump global project finance partner Dino Barajas as a “Leader in Their Field” in the 2015 Chambers Latin America guide. Barajas was recognized both in Energy & Natural Resources (Latin America-wide) and in Projects (Latin America-wide).
