(Washington/London) – Akin Gump has been shortlisted in the Euromoney Women in Business Law Awards Global in the category ‘Pro-bono Work Firm of the Year’.

The Awards recognize the leading women in-house lawyers globally as well as the law firms with the most-impressive initiatives promoting diversity and women in law. Shortlisted firms were selected after a thorough research process based on submissions.

Akin Gump’s international pro bono practice is well established and well regarded, and there is a concerted effort within the practice and firm to align the firm’s pro bono activities with its DEI efforts, where possible. Most recently, the firm’s fact-finding efforts on the anti-gender movement in Europe and the former Soviet Union were recognized by international independent human rights organization The Advocates for Human Rights with The Advocates’ 2022 Volunteer Award (learn more here).

The Women in Business Law Awards will announce winners on December 1, 2022 at an inaugural live awards gala in London. The full shortlist can be viewed here.
