Bar Association Names Frank Reddick Corporate Lawyer of the Year
(Los Angeles, California) – The Century City Bar Association has named C.N. Franklin Reddick III Corporate Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Reddick, a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Los Angeles, received the award at the Association’s 40th Annual Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held on March 26 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
Candidates for Lawyer of the Year honors are nominated by their peers in the legal community and then evaluated over a period of months by the Bar Association’s board of directors, which examines each nominee’s history of service as a legal professional and his/her contributions to the community. Finalists are then selected by a vote of the board.
Mr. Reddick focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. His practice includes the representation of companies ranging in size from large, international corporations to the middle market, private equity funds and institutional lenders. His clients reflect the diversity of the Southern California business community, including those in the entertainment and media, gaming, retail and health care industries. His notable recent engagements include the representation of a global media and entertainment company in its $28 billion sale; a private equity fund in the acquisition of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company in the mortgage servicing industry; private equity funds, mezzanine lenders and senior lenders in a variety of film slate financings; and Indian tribes and private equity firms in high-yield bond transactions and mezzanine debt financing arrangements to support the development and expansion of gaming operations.
Mr. Reddick is a member of Akin Gump’s partner admissions committee and its corporate practice steering committee. A graduate of California State University at San Jose and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, he serves on the boards of directors of NASDAQ-listed VCA Antech and Temple Menorah in Manhattan Beach.
