Akin Gump tax partner David Burton, whose practice has a particular emphasis on energy transactions, has authored “An Analysis of U.S. Energy Policy Objectives: Green and Brown Power Options Examined” for Bloomberg BNA’s Daily Environment Report.

The article discusses the objectives of U.S. energy policy and provides an analysis of how the various technologies for the generation of electricity fare when compared to those objectives. The technologies Burton considers are wind, solar, nuclear, natural gas and coal; the policies he looks at are climate change, health concerns and energy independence.
