Telecommunications industry publication TR Daily, in its article “Data Security Provisions Disputed in Drone Best Practice Discussions,” quoted Akin Gump cybersecurity initiative co-head David Turetsky, who participated in a meeting on privacy best practices convened by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. The article reports difficulties encountered by stakeholders at the meeting in agreeing on a single draft document with which to work from among those presented for discussion by three organizations,
During discussions, Turetsky suggested combining drafts in order to “get at the high-level principles, then to the extent that both drafters are comfortable, see what agreement can be reached and bracket what can't be agreed to, as a way to get this to one piece of paper.”
The article reports that the group did eventually agree to combine two of the drafts, areas of dispute being noted in brackets.
