Akin Gump’s Eric Gambrell, a Dallas-based partner in the firm’s litigation practice, has been selected by Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Board of Criminal Justice for a six-year term, subject to Senate confirmation. 

The board oversees the work of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
