(Los Angeles) – For the third consecutive year, Akin Gump entertainment and media practice head P. John Burke and partner Marissa Román Griffith have been recognized by Variety in its annual Legal Impact Report, which features the top lawyers working in Hollywood.

Mr. Burke is noted for having represented Dune Capital Management in the buyout of much of Elliot Management’s stake in Relativity; Ratpac-Dune Entertainment on its multiyear co-financing pact with Warner Bros.; and ImageNation in its partnerships with Parkes/MacDonald.

Among Ms. Griffith’s recognized representations are her work with Media Rights Capital’s JPMorgan credit facility, its co-financing of Sony titles and its financing of television and film projects such as Chappie, Ted 2 and the third season of House of Cards.
