Akin Gump labor and employment partner Lauren Leyden was quoted by HFMWeek for its article “How NY’s sweeping sexual harassment laws could impact the hedge fund space,” on how New York, state and city, is introducing requirements and guidelines for annual sexual harassment training.
Leyden, who counts several hedge funds among her clients, noted, “The idea of mandating training is not new. I think New York is first in this new wave. I think that we will see it happen in many places across the country and everywhere I know that hedge funds are based.”
