Law360 quotes Akin Gump’s Juliane Sullivan on the likelihood of a resolution to the “fiscal cliff” issue. Automatic budget cuts and tax increases are set to take place if Congress does not act before the end of year. Sullivan, a senior policy advisor in the firm’s public law and policy practice, says there will likely be a “nasty lame-duck [session of Congress], but there may be a narrow window of opportunity for the president to cut a deal.”

Sullivan was quoted in an earlier Law360 article on the prospects for government contractors following the presidential election. A press release concerning that article can be found by clicking here.
