Akin Gump litigation partner Thomas McLish was quoted by Law360 for its article “5 Key Strategies To Win A Defense Contract,” a guide to help defense contractors improve the quality and effectiveness of their bids.

Regarding the importance of starting to work early on one’s bid, the article notes that this can offer contractors more time to improve the writing in their proposal.  In this regard, McLish offered the following advice: “I think a lot of contractors lose sight of the fact that it often is a proposal-writing exercise that they're doing. They're going to be graded on the quality of their proposal writing rather than the quality of the work they're doing for the government.”
