Michael Brito, Noted Transactions and Outsourcing Attorney, Joins Akin Gump’s Corporate Practice

(Dallas) Michael Brito has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as a partner in the corporate practice. He joins Akin Gump from the Dallas office of a large international, Texas-based law firm.

Mr. Brito’s practice encompasses a broad range of technology and outsourcing transactions, including structuring, negotiating and drafting various types of agreements for complex transactions across the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Ken Menges, co-chair of Akin Gump’s corporate practice and partner in charge of the firm’s Dallas office, stated, “We are very excited to welcome Michael to Akin Gump. Throughout his decades of practice, Mr. Brito has helped clients with a broad array of technology and outsourcing arrangements. These include global information technology and business process outsourcing agreements, customer care/call center agreements, domestic and international distribution agreements, software development agreements, supply chain management agreements, licensing and marketing agreements, joint ventures, and strategic alliances and teaming relationships. He also handles e-commerce transactions and enterprise-wide software licensing agreements.

Mr. Brito’s prior experience also includes serving as in-house counsel for a global outsourcing services provider, where he served as group counsel for various vertical industry groups, including the financial services and manufacturing industries.
