The National Law Journal, in its article “Japan’s Warriors – Trade pact leads to a lobbying skirmish,” spotlighted the work of Akin Gump public law and policy partner Scott Parven, as he leads Akin Gump’s advocacy on behalf of the government of Japan.  The article notes that Japan’s government is working to be admitted to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement.

The article quotes a statement from Parven concerning the firm’s efforts: “Japan  and  the  United  States  are enjoying  a  period  of  close  cooperation and  renewed commitment  to  the  bilateral relationship. Akin Gump is representing the government of Japan to educate and inform interested stakeholders about the many aspects of this important relationship.”
