Akin Gump senior policy advisor Devry Boughner Vorwerk has been quoted in POLITICO’s “Morning Trade” newsletter regarding President Obama’s recent trip to Cuba.

The article reports that agriculture groups are hopeful Cuba will remain in the spotlight now that the president has left. “This is the trip that I think tipped the scale on U.S.-Cuba relations,” said Vorwerk, who chairs the U.S. Agriculture Coalition for Cuba. She added, “I do believe we are getting closer to the end of the embargo.”

Vorwerk also appeared on CNN this week from Havana while President Obama was there.
