The Hedge Fund Journal Publishes Anna Maleva-Otto Article on AIFMD Implementation

“Final UK Rules On AIFMD Implementation,” an article by Anna Maleva-Otto, counsel in Akin Gump’s investment management practice, has been published by The Hedge Fund Journal.
The article discusses the new rules published by the UK Financial Conduct Authority on the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive. As Maleva-Otto writes, “it is clear that a concerted effort was made to match the various provisions of the AIFMD to the realities of alternative asset management practices and, where possible, to ensure a proportionate application of the various requirements to U.K. managers of alternative investment funds.”
