The Hollywood Reporter Picks Christopher Spicer for “Next Gen” List of Top Execs Under 35

(Los Angeles) – Christopher Spicer, counsel in Akin Gump’s entertainment and media practice, has been selected by The Hollywood Reporter for its “Next Gen 2014” feature.  This is THR’s 21st annual list of “the industry’s top execs, 35 and under.”

Spicer is noted as a “key part” of the Akin Gump entertainment and media practice headed by P. John Burke and as having “provide[d] money for some of the biggest franchises of the past few years.” The profile notes that he represented Media Rights Capital in its $325 million credit facility with JP Morgan for shows such as House of Cards and movies such as Ted 2, in addition to having put together financing for Lionsgate properties The Hunger Games, Divergent and Orange Is the New Black.
