Utility Dive, in its article “Reliability will be preserved through market transition, grid operators tell Congress,” referenced an Akin Gump’s AG Speaking Energy blog article in regard to a recent House Subcommittee on Energy hearing on energy regulation.

In its review of the congressional hearing, the publication notes that U.S. grid operators, including New York ISO (NYISO) and ISO New England (ISO-NE), are aiming to integrate a carbon price into its market dispatch within three years of publishing an upcoming carbon pricing proposal.

Earlier this year, Akin Gump outlined the NYISO and ISO-NE stakeholders’ meetings that assessed these potential carbon reform and pricing proposals in its AG Speaking Energy blog article “Carbon Pricing Update: ISO-NE and NYISO Look to Gain Ground in 2017.”
