Working Mother Names Akin Gump Among Best Law Firms for Women

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that Working Mother magazine has selected Akin Gump to its annual list of the 50 best law firms for women.

Law firms named to the list are assessed based on how they utilize best practices to recruit, retain, promote and develop women lawyers. Honorees include those firms that “encourage women to rise to the top.”

The publication’s methodology includes a 300-plus question survey on topics ranging from attorney demographics at different levels, schedule flexibility, and paid time off and parental leave, to development and retention of women, and the success of working from home for lawyers. This year, questions were also included that measured the success of working from home for lawyers amid COVID-19.

This is the most recent recognition focusing on the firm’s policies promoting women, diversity and work flexibility, following recognitions from Yale Law Women and Women in Law Empowerment Forum.
