(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that client 7-Eleven’s acquisition of leading convenience store chain Speedway from Marathon Petroleum Corp. has been shortlisted in the category “M&A Deal of the Year (Premium)” for the Asian Legal Business Japan Law Awards 2021.

Winners will be announced, and awards presented, at a virtual ceremony on September 30, 2021. The ALB Japan Law Awards recognize “the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house counsel in Japan and around the region.”
