Akin Gump Once Again Awarded WILEF Gold Standard Certification

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is proud to share that the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has awarded the firm its 2022 US Gold Standard Certification. This is the fourth time in five years that Akin Gump has earned this prestigious certification.

In order to receive Gold Standard Certification, firms of 300 or more lawyers must satisfy two criteria: 25% of equity partners or, alternatively, 40% of the attorneys becoming equity partners during the past 12 months are women, and 10% of women equity partners are women of color, or 4% of women equity partners are LGBT.

Additionally, firms must satisfy other criteria concerning women equity partner compensation and/or women in leadership roles at offices and on committees.
