Akin Gump Recognized Among Top Firms in Latin America for Sixth Straight Year
(Washington, D.C.) – The Legal 500, in its 2019 edition of The Legal 500 Latin America, has ranked Akin Gump among the world’s top firms for its work in Projects and Energy in Latin America for the sixth consecutive year.
In the profile of the firm, The Legal 500 notes that Akin Gump “is closely aligned to Mexico's energy sector, including private equity investment, infrastructure development and traditional project finance.” It also notes “The firm's lobbying and policy expertise is coming into play, particularly in light of trade tensions between the US and Mexico. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) expertise is also applied to much of its work in the projects and energy sphere.”
