Akin Named Finalist for International Law Firm of the Year and Two Additional Categories at the 2025 British Legal Awards

Akin has been named a finalist in three categories for the 2025 British Legal Awards, as announced by Law.com International.

The firm was shortlisted for International Law Firm of the Year and for Energy Team of the Year, for the team’s work advising Energy Equation Partners and Stonepeak in their approximately €2.5 billion acquisition of a majority interest in JET.

Anu Khela, pro bono coordinator and paralegal, was also shortlisted for the Unsung Hero category regarding her leadership and commitment to the firm’s international pro bono practice. 

According to Law.com International, the British Legal Awards are considered the premier legal awards in the UK, benchmarking excellence in the legal sector. The winners will be announced on November 26 in London.
