Akin Advises Energy Equation Partners and Stonepeak in €2.5 Billion Acquisition of Majority Interest in JET

(London) – Akin has advised investment firms Energy Equation Partners and Stonepeak in their approximately €2.5 billion acquisition of a majority interest in JET Tankstellen Deutschland GmbH (“JET”) from Phillips 66.
Phillips 66 will retain a 35% minority interest in JET as part of the transaction, which is expected to close in the second half of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
The Akin team was led by corporate partner Shaun Lascelles and included partner Simon Rootsey, counsel Jing Ng, Andrew Finogin and associates Rachel Lawrence, Jack Anderson, Andrew Longo and Simi Malhi.
