Akin Partners Named to 2026 Legal Visionaries List by L.A. Times

Akin white collar defense & government investigations partner Peter Altman and corporate partner Carlos Bermudez are featured in the Los Angeles Times as 2026 Legal Visionaries. Honorees are California attorneys who “distinguish themselves not only through skill and results but through an unwavering commitment to their clients.”  

The L.A. Times highlights Peter as a “leader in white-collar defense and government investigations” and spotlights his role representing public companies and investment advisers before the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice.  

Carlos is highlighted for his work “advising global technology leaders on complex cross-border transactions and secondary investments.”  

Both partners are also recognized for their efforts with KIPP SoCal Public Schools, a nonprofit organization that operates tuition-free, open-enrollment charter public schools.
