Extremely active in diversity and inclusion and pro bono efforts, Carlos sits on Akin’s firmwide Opportunity & Inclusion Council, and co-chairs the Los Angeles office’s Opportunity & Inclusion Council and California Pro Bono Committee.
- Represented a renewable energy infrastructure investor in its acquisition of rights in a 400 MW solar project.
- Represented an independent power producer in its proposed acquisition of utility scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
- Represented SunPower Corporation in its proposed sale of its operations & maintenance business.
- Represented Alpha Wave Global in its $100 million Series A preferred equity investment in Gamma Media Holdings, a media and technology company centered in music, film, podcasting and creative services.
- Represented Mubadala Capital in connection with its participation in a consortium that purchased the YES Network from The Walt Disney Company in a transaction valued at $3.47 billion.
