Five Akin Attorneys Selected for Variety's 2026 Legal Impact Report

Akin media, entertainment & sports practice head Chris Spicer, partners Alissa Miller and Vanessa Roman, corporate partner Jonathan Pavlich and senior counsel Randall Boe have been selected for Variety’s annual Legal Impact Report. The list recognizes Hollywood’s top entertainment attorneys, who "are the trusted counselors of the town’s top talent and companies, helping them navigate a fast-changing landscape.”
Akin's profile in the publication highlights the team’s more than $5.5 billion in total transaction value in 2025, highlighting work with J.P. Morgan on a $500 million credit facility and advising Ari Emanuel's MARI on its acquisitions of the Madrid and Miami tennis tournaments and the Frieze art festivals.
“Investments in sports are becoming an important part of building out a diversified portfolio,” Randall notes in the profile. “You’re seeing the birth of sports and event-type assets becoming their own asset class.”
