Trump Executive Order Tracker

This Order directs the construction of temporary and permanent physical barriers at the southern border of the United States and all appropriate action to deploy permanent sufficient personnel along the southern border to ensure operational control. The Order also directs that action be taken to supplement available personnel to secure the southern border and enforce immigration laws. This Order directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to issue new policy guidance on detention of undocumented immigrants and to reinstitute the Migrant Protection Protocols (Remain in Mexico).

The executive order directs the Secretary of Commerce to conduct an investigation pursuant to Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 regarding “the effects on the national security of imports of timber, lumber, and their derivative products,” such as “paper products, furniture, and cabinetry.”  In undertaking this investigation, the President ordered the Secretary of Commerce to consider the following factors: 

The executive order directs the Secretary of Commerce to conduct an investigation pursuant to Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 regarding “the effects on national security of imports of copper in all forms,” including scrap copper and derivative products.  In undertaking this investigation, the President ordered the Secretary of Commerce to consider the following factors:

Requires a variety of reports and recommendations to be delivered to the President by April 1, 2025: on the causes of the persistent trade deficit, how to establish the External Revenue Service

Directs the heads of executive departments and agencies to review all funding provided to NGOs and align future funding decisions with the interests of the United States and the goals of the Trump-Vance administration. 

Orders that for each new regulation issued, at least 10 prior regulations be identified for elimination.  This practice is to ensure that the cost of planned regulations is responsibly managed and controlled through a rigorous regulatory budgeting process.

This Order makes it the policy of the United States to enforce the Hyde Amendment, preventing the use of Federal money to fund or promote elective abortion. The EO further revokes two Executive Orders from the Biden Administration: (1) Executive Order 14076, Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services and (2) Executive Order 14079, Securing Access to Reproductive and Other Healthcare Services.
