FT Quotes Ezra Zahabi on UK Gov’t Move to Monitor and Enforce Climate Policies by UK Businesses

Akin Gump financial regulatory partner Ezra Zahabi was quoted by Financial Times for its article “UK companies face closer scrutiny on disclosing climate change risks,” on a push by the Financial Reporting Council to review more closely how U.K. businesses report climate change impacts to investors.
Zahabi said that the move should be of benefit to investors, noting that the review would help in “raising the standard of sustainability data reported by companies, which is critical in order to meaningfully direct capital to sustainable businesses.”
