Pratik Shah Quoted by National Law Journal on New SCOTUS Amicus Brief Guidelines

Pratik Shah, co-head of the Supreme Court and appellate practice at Akin Gump, has been quoted in the National Law Journal’s Supreme Court Brief on new guidance announced by the Court last week pertaining to amicus briefs.
Shah, a former Assistant to the Solicitor General, said, “The one tidbit I found interesting was the guidance that a person/entity may be listed as an amicus on only one brief per case (perfectly sensible), but an attorney can serve as counsel of record on multiple amicus briefs in the same case (somewhat stranger).”
