(Washington, D.C. and London) – Akin advised BlackRock as co-lead in Seven2’s €400 million continuation fund to support two strategic assets, Marlink and Crystal, and finance their development plans.

The transaction, which transferred Seven2’s entire minority stake in Marlink and a portion of its minority stake in Crystal to the new vehicle, attracted strong interest from both secondary investors and existing Seven2 LPs, resulting in a 30% oversubscription.

The Akin team was led by investment management partner Fadi Samman and included investment management counsel Brendan McNamara and Chris Jeanes and associate Zhane Austin; corporate partner Timothy Clark; tax partner Stuart Alter; and antitrust & international competition partner Scott Pettifor and counsel Savas Manoussakis.

Additional details on the transaction can be found here.

Akin is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
