(Houston) – Chesapeake Energy Corporation today announced that it has completed its acquisition of WildHorse Resource Development Corporation. The merger was previously approved by Chesapeake shareholders and WildHorse stockholders at special meetings held on January 31. Akin Gump advised NGP Energy Capital Management, LLC, which manages investment funds that are collectively WildHorse’s largest shareholder, in the matter, which was announced on October 30, 2018 (click here to read more).
