Akin Gump Launches Power Hedge Settlement Calculator

(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump has announced the launch of its Power Hedge Settlement Calculator, an innovative new tool designed to help sort through various derivative financial arrangements and help commercial users navigate different hedging strategies.
With the new tool, among the first of its kind, users are able to interact with, and manipulate in real time, a financial model of a physically settled renewable energy hedge transaction with a tracking account. They also will be able to identify the cash flows that would occur with unlimited combinations of Hub Price, Nodal Price, Contract Quantity, Actual Generated Quantity, Strike Price and other economic inputs that affect the cash flow from a hedging arrangement.
