Biography
  • Advises clients on a range of government contracts matters across various industries including defense, aerospace, construction, technology and health care.
  • Represents clients in complex litigation and government investigations.
  • Focuses on providing solutions to government contractors and grantees navigating complex regulatory environments.

Abby is an associate in the government contracts practice. She counsels clients on a broad range of legal issues related to public procurement, including compliance, risk assessments, contract claims, small business programs and bid protests. Abby also advises clients on government investigations and on potential liability and disclosure obligations, as well as internal investigations and False Claims Act (FCA) matters.  

Prior to joining Akin, Abby was a government contracts associate at a boutique firm in Washington, D.C. Abby has previously served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana and for the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals in Washington, D.C.

Abby has published and presented on various topics related to government contracts and compliance and is a co-author of chapters in professional reference books, including False Claims in Construction Contracts.
