Amelia is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice. She represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of complex, high-stakes commercial disputes, including financial services disputes, class action defense, and restructuring litigation.
Amelia has substantial trial experience, frequently handling matters proceeding on accelerated timelines. She brings a strong financial background to her practice, particularly in disputes involving complex financial instruments and accounting issues.
Before joining Akin, Amelia clerked for Judge Mark X. Mullin of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas and interned for the SEC's Division of Enforcement. Amelia also previously worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at a global accounting firm and an investment firm.
