Amelia is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice. She assists clients in a variety of complex commercial disputes.
Prior to joining Akin, Amelia clerked for the Honorable Mark X. Mullin of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. During law school, she interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she gained experience working alongside attorneys within its Division of Enforcement. Prior to attending law school, Amelia worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at a global accounting firm and an investment firm.
- Represented hedge funds in various stages of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, summary judgment briefing, and pre-trial proceedings.
- Served on the litigation teams for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the following chapter 11 cases: Diamond Sports Group, Alex Jones, GWG Holdings, and TPC Group.
