Angela Adams assists established and first-time fund sponsors in organizing and structuring domestic and international private equity funds. She helps institutional investors assess their portfolios and seek out higher-quality relationships with fund managers while obtaining liquidity.

Angela advises sponsors on fund formation and private securities offerings and provides ongoing counsel to fund sponsors in transactional and operational issues, assisting clients in restructuring their commercial relationships.

Business clients turn to her for assistance in reviewing existing commercial relationships and restructuring corporate governance measures, and entrepreneurs have called on her to navigate new relationships with business partners and seed investors. Angela is known for her institutional knowledge of her clients and their counterparties, as well as for her project management skills.

Angela regularly represents institutional investors acquiring and selling positions in private equity funds, on a primary basis and on the secondary market. She also devotes a portion of her practice to advising family offices on formation, regulatory and operational matters.

In addition to her private equity practice, Angela offers ongoing pro bono counsel to a community-based organization focused on the mentoring and development of at-risk youth through a boxing athletics program. She also participates in a client’s initiative regarding ways to foster diversity in its legal representation.
