Caelle is a projects & energy transition associate. She advises clients on a range of corporate matters, including complex financing transactions and cross-border investments.
Prior to joining Akin, Caelle was an associate at another global law firm in New York. Previously, she served as a senior legal manager in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon, where she advised on investment transactions and corporate structuring, and held corporate lawyer positions at firms in Beirut, Lebanon, advising multinational and regional clients.
Caelle received an LL.M. from Cornell Law School, a master’s in comparative law from Paris Nanterre University, a master’s in private law and a bachelor’s in private law from Saint Joseph University. While at Cornell, Caelle was a research assistant to Professor Kristin Underhill. Caelle also interned at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
- Represented the lender in the financing of a battery energy storage project in Texas, including a $131 million tax equity bridge loan, a $107 million construction loan and a $42.5 million letter of credit facility.
- Represented the sponsor in a tax equity financing (partnership flip) for a 150 megawatt Alternating/Direct Current (MWac) solar + 50 MWac/200 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery storage facility in Mississippi and a 200 MWh solar facility in New Mexico.
- Represented the lender and lead arranger in a $100 million financing of portfolio of solar projects in Illinois.
- Represented the lenders in a $1.3 billion construction debt financing for three utility-scale solar projects in Indiana.
