Caroline is an associate in Akin’s international disputes practice, based in Dubai.

Caroline has advised clients on a range of commercial and investor-state arbitration matters, as well as public international law advisory matters. She has advised on arbitrations administered by major arbitration institutions, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit (DIS) and ad hoc proceedings under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Rules.

Caroline has cross-jurisdictional experience, having trained and interned at leading firms in Paris, London, Mexico City and Stuttgart. She is fluent in English, Spanish and German, and speaks French.

She has authored publications and regularly speaks on topics related to international arbitration. Caroline has been involved in significant thought leadership projects in connection with international arbitration, including contributing to the drafting of institutional arbitration rules.

Caroline graduated with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center, where she completed her LL.M. as a Dean’s List honoree and merit scholar. She received multiple academic awards during her studies at Esade Law School and IE University and was recognized in the 2023 Nova 111 list as one of Spain’s top 10 law students to watch.
