Biography
  • Represents clients in antitrust counseling, mergers & acquisitions, and litigation across a variety of industries.

Charlie focuses his practice on antitrust and regulatory matters, representing clients in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, banking, finance, retail and technology. He guides clients through all phases of merger reviews and investigations. He is a frequent author on antitrust matters.

Prior to joining Akin, Charlie served as general counsel at a deep tech start-up focusing on magnetic sensors, advising on a variety of legal, compliance, and financial issues. Before that, Charlie worked at two major international law firms as an antitrust associate.

Charlie earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, where he served as notes editor of the Michigan Law Review. He received a Master of Accounting from the Ohio State University, where he also received a B.S.B.A. with an emphasis on Economics.

Before law school, he also held positions as a tax senior accountant at a top public accounting firm in Ohio.
