Biography
  • Represents utilities and other power suppliers in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) matters as well as renewable energy.

Corban is an associate in the corporate practice representing energy and utility clients on a variety of matters before FERC. He has experience with representing companies seeking market-based rates, stated rates, formula rates, and filings to maintain market-based rates. He has represented clients in administrative litigation and filed comments in rulemaking proceedings at FERC and advised clients on matters relating to the rules and markets of Regional Transmission Organizations and Independent System Operators.  He has experience in advising clients on natural gas regulatory matters before FERC arising under the Natural Gas Act.

Corban provides support to corporate transactions requiring FERC and state-level approvals and represents clients in FERC enforcement actions. He also has experience with renewable energy projects and advising clients on compliance issues related to retail choice and community solar programs.

He received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, where he served as managing editor of The George Washington International Law Review.
