He has extensive experience providing advice on conflicts of interest, contract negotiations, professional conduct rules and compliance best practices.

Prior to joining Akin, Darik served in similar advisory roles at other global law firms advising on issues related to financial crime, professional responsibility, risk and compliance and drafting firmwide policies.
