Elliott advises clients on a range of corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance and general corporate matters, and special situations and distressed corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Akin, Elliott was an associate in the M&A and financial regulatory groups at another global law firm in New York.
Elliott received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was recognized as a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, a recipient of the Parker School Certificate for Achievement in International and Comparative Law, and a staff member of the Columbia Business Law Review. Elliott holds a B.A. summa cum laude in political science with a minor in finance from Yeshiva University.
- Advised Amber Energy Inc., an affiliate of Elliott Investment Management, in its proposed acquisition of PDV Holding Inc., the parent company of CITGO Petroleum Corporation, the Venezuelan-owned, U.S.-based refiner.
- Advised BradyPLUS, a leading provider of janitorial and sanitation products, in its merger with Imperial Dade, a leading distributor of foodservice packaging.
- Advised DNB Bank in its approximately $1.2 billion acquisition of Carnegie.
