- Advises clients on financial restructuring matters.
Gabe is an associate in the firm’s financial restructuring practice. He represents both domestic and international clients in a variety of complex restructuring matters and advises creditors and other stakeholders in chapter 11 proceedings.
Prior to joining Akin as a full-time attorney, Gabe was an Akin summer associate. Prior to that, Gabe was a senior accountant at a top accounting firm in New York City.
Gabe earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a staff editor for the Cardozo Law Review. He received his B.A. cum laude in accounting from Muhlenberg College.
- Yellow: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Yellow Corporation, one of the largest trucking companies in the United States.
- NanoString: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of NanoString Technologies, Inc., a biotechnology company.
- Spirit: Counsel to an ad hoc group of senior secured noteholders of Spirit Airlines, Inc.
