Biography
  • Represents a broad array of clients on restructurings, workouts and insolvencies.
  • Advises on complex restructurings and financings across sectors

Harrison serves as counsel in the financial restructuring practice in London. He represents investors, corporates and private equity sponsors in financial restructurings, workouts and insolvencies. Harrison has extensive experience advising on complex cross-border restructurings.

Prior to joining Akin, Harrison was a counsel and associate at other international law firms in London and Sydney.

Representative Work
  • Petrofac: Counsel to the ad hoc group of bondholders on the financial restructuring of the UK-based engineering, construction and energy transition company.
  • Hurtigruten Group: Counsel to a group of noteholders originally issued by the Norwegian cruise line and coastal ferry business in a consensual process to amend and restate the E2 notes.
  • IGM Resins: Counsel to Astorg (as Sponsor) and IGM Resins in relation to the company’s debt restructuring.
  • Schoeller Allibert: Counsel to Schoeller Allibert in connection with its consensual recapitalisation transaction.
  • Keter Group: Counsel to PSP (as PIK Lender) and shareholder in connection with the refinancing of the outdoor storage solutions and furniture group.
  • Covis Pharma: Counsel to the ad hoc group of first lien term lenders in relation to the cross-border financial recapitalisation of, and super senior new money financing for, a multinational specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Switzerland.
  • Scandinavian Airlines (SAS): Counsel on SAS’s comprehensive debt and fleet restructuring.
  • Healthscope Group: Counsel to the SFA lenders, security trustee/senior agent and receivers and managers appointed in relation to Healthscope’s distressed M&A.
  • Boart Longyear: Counsel to Boart Longyear in relation to its debt restructuring and redomiciliation.
  • Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET): Counsel to WICET in relation to its debt restructuring and preference shareholder litigation.
