Ibrahim is co-head of Akin’s Saudi Arabia office and a partner in the corporate team. With nearly two decades of experience in the region, Ibrahim is a trusted advisor to government entities, corporates and private equity clients, guiding them through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and regulatory compliance matters. Ibrahim also has significant experience advising on project development and financings, including public-private partnerships, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, and operation and maintenance agreements.
Before joining Akin, Ibrahim was a partner at another global law firm in Riyadh and practiced for over 14 years at international firms in London and Dubai. Ibrahim is licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Justice and as a solicitor of England and Wales.
Ibrahim holds an LL.M. from Boston University School of Law, an L.P.C. from Oxford Institute of Legal Practice and a B.A. (honors) from Oxford Brookes University.
He is qualified and licensed to practice law in the KSA and England.

- Represented Al Tahalof Al Tamm in its acquisition of Kudu Food Company (a restaurant chain with over 200 outlets in the KSA) from private equity houses TPG and Actis.
- Represented Etisalat UAE in its restructuring of its corporate structure and proposed conversion to a public joint stock company.
- Represented Injazat, being a G42 subsidiary, on its joint venture with Nesma Infrastructure & Technology to offer key digital services and solutions in Saudi Arabia
- Represented SCF Partners in its acquisition of a minority interest in Gulf Energy, a leading oil and gas services company based in Oman with operations throughout the Middle East.
- Represented Investcorp Gulf Opportunity Fund in its acquisition of a majority stake in L’azurde, the world’s fourth largest gold and jewelry manufacturer headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Represented Investcorp Gulf Opportunity Fund in its acquisition of a minority stake in Gulf Cryo, a leading industrial gases company based in Kuwait.
- Represented e& Group (formerly Etisalat) on its acquisition of Smartworld from Dubai Aviation City Corporation.
- Represented Hwadi on its joint venture to establish Cloud 7 Hotel project in Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia as part of The Collective by Kerten Hospitality initiative announced by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia.
- Represented Sadara Chemical Company in various long term offtake agreements with the Saudi subsidiaries of international oil service companies for the sale and purchase of chemical and petrochemical products produced at Sadara’s chemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
- Represented Alamar Food Company JSC in its day-to-day business activities as corporate counsel, including board of directors meetings, general assemblies, commercial agreements, employment affairs and joint ventures in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
