Biography
  • Works across a broad spectrum of corporate matters, with a particular focus on complex transactional and advisory mandates.

Jamie is an associate in the corporate practice. He represents public and private clients on domestic transactions, and outbound investments and opportunities.

Jamie provides advice on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and restructurings. He has significant experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures, and provides strategic counsel on general corporate and commercial matters.

Jamie is dual qualified as a solicitor in Ireland and in England & Wales. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced in other leading international law firms in both London and Dublin.

Representative Work
  • Global Infrastructure Partners on the sale of a 50.01% stake in Edinburgh Airport to VINCI Airports for £1.27 billion, and on the establishment of a strategic partnership with VINCI Airports.
  • Represented Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of a 50% ownership interest in Höegh Evi (previously Höegh LNG) from funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners.
  • Advised British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, as a co-investor with funds advised by Macquarie, on the recommended cash offer for Renewi plc.
  • Represented Global Infrastructure Partners in the sale of c. 50% co-controlling interest in Italo – Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A, one of Europe’s leading private high-speed rail operators, to Mediterranean Shipping Company.
  • Advised British Columbia Investment Management Corporation on its investment (together with funds advised by Macquarie Asset Management) into National Grid UK’s gas transmission system, in a deal valuing that business at an enterprise value of £9.6 billion.
