- Works across a broad spectrum of corporate matters, with a particular focus on complex transactional and advisory mandates.
Jamie is an associate in the firm's corporate practice, advising clients on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and restructurings. He has significant experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures, and provides strategic counsel on general corporate and commercial matters.
Jamie is dual qualified as a solicitor in Ireland and in England & Wales. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced in leading international law firms in both London and Dublin.
- Advised Global Infrastructure Partners on the sale of a 50.01% stake in Edinburgh Airport to VINCI Airports for £1.27 billion, and on the establishment of a strategic partnership with VINCI Airports.
- Represented Igneo Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of a 50% ownership interest in Höegh Evi (previously Höegh LNG) from funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners.
- Advised British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, as a co-investor with funds advised by Macquarie, on the recommended cash offer for Renewi plc.
- Represented Global Infrastructure Partners in the sale of c. 50% co-controlling interest in Italo – Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A, one of Europe’s leading private high-speed rail operators, to Mediterranean Shipping Company.
- Advised British Columbia Investment Management Corporation on its investment (together with funds advised by Macquarie Asset Management) into National Grid UK’s gas transmission system, in a deal valuing that business at an enterprise value of £9.6 billion.
