Biography
- Focused on United Kingdom and international corporate finance.
- Advised alternative investment funds, investment banks and corporates in the United States and United Kingdom.
John Clark retired from the partnership at the end of 2020. He represented hedge, private equity and other investment funds in the U.S. and U.K., as well as U.K. and European investment banks on:
- Equity and debt offerings
- Principal investments
- Public and private M&A
- Financial restructurings
- Merger arbitrage
- Shareholder activism.
Representative Work
- Acted for several hedge funds in connection with a hostile takeover of ABN AMRO Bank NV.
- Counseled a number of hedge funds in pursuing activist shareholder/creditor strategies relating to numerous public companies.
- Assisted in the establishment of the Gibraltar experienced investor fund.
- Advised in a $155.4 million public acquisition by Industrial Funds Limited, a joint venture owned by Warner Estate Holdings PLC and Anglo Irish Bank Corporation PLC.
- Represented a lender in the restructuring of Alinta Energy.
